Curiosity got the better of me. From reading books about the '80s metal and censorship excesses, Tipper Gore's war on children's music, brainwashing paranoia, demons whispering backwards gibberish from vinyl grooves, and where better to start than with the Metal's R. Renfield's first two solo albums. Frankly, I'm quite impressed with the album fun and still a happy guy. I have a bookcase shelf full of ss anti-rock books by Christian authors about the Satanic Panic, and went through them for Ozzy's backward masking allegations.

The record skips on the best song. Just plain sucks Suicide Solution - Ozzy Osbourne - Legacy Of Randy Rhoads (Vinyl all I can say.

The reissue of the vinyl lp is flawed. I have gone through 3 brand new copies and have found the exact same glitch in the same exact spot on the record. The first chorus on Crazy Train is where you will find it. I have found it in other places as well. It appears that when cutting the wax the weight was not distributed evenly and it had dug in deeper than it should. The mark is no bigger than a centimeter but jumps the needle something awful.

Suppose I'll be looking for an older version of this, what a shame The classic debut from the man who the world counted out, there isn't anything bad that I can say about this album other than it should have been longer. Right from the beginning, "I Don't Know" just soars out of the speakers and you get to hear the majestic Randy Rhoads who is playing out of his skin and the oft-overlooked rhythm section of drummer Lee Kerslake and bassist Bob Daisley who's parts are reinstated on this album after the controversy of the reissues of the first two records.

This album was very well constructed in terms of material. You have out-and-out rockers with "Suicide Solution", instrumental passages with "Dee", heartfelt ballads with "Goodbye To Romance" and to Suicide Solution - Ozzy Osbourne - Legacy Of Randy Rhoads (Vinyl a powerhouse epic with "Revelation Mother Earth " which to me boasts Rhoads best solo.

The bonus material isn't extensive; a pretty good B-Side in "You Looking At Me, Looking At You" and a couple of out takes are about it, but it's good to have this album restored to it's former glory.

The album is an all time classic, one LP) the best ever made. However I had to buy it twice on here and each time it skips several times during Crazy Train. I returned it the first time and the second did the same. I gave the album a hard cleaning with lens wipes and it seems to have done the trick.

So Blizzard Of Ozz is an amazing record but purchasing it here may not be the best option. I have got a replacement three times. Finally, I got a good copy. Two vinyl had the same problem of occurring popping and crackling noise during playing the tracks 'Goodbye to Romance' and 'Dee'. But the third one had no problem. In my thought, it might cause by bad pressing.

Thank you, Amazon. One person found this helpful. Ozzy Osbourne's first album post-Sabbath shows that he could rock just as hard without Black Sabbath as he could with them. Lee, and Zakk Wylde. The man has good taste, what can I say? Randy Rhoads is incredible both here and on Diary of a Madman, and when listening to his most excellent Suicide Solution - Ozzy Osbourne - Legacy Of Randy Rhoads (Vinyl it's no wonder the man became a legend.

Don't listen to all of the nay sayers and music snobs who gave bad reviews. This is classic Ozzy. Very good CD. Even if you don't like Ozzy, he is a Rock and Roll Icon and deserves praise and respect. I think the Randy Rhodes guitar sounds just great. I know what I am talking about because I have been an Ozzy fan since I was 13 years old, that is 51 years. I know what this should sound like and it sounds fine.

See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. I knew this album is remastered what I didn't realise was ozzys missus had the original bass and drums rerecorded because she didn't want the original musicians to receive any royalties, had I known this I wouldn't have purchased it,I really wanted this album because I wanted to have my own copy of crazy train as I'm learning to play it,I feel like I've been ripped off, I wanted to hear the original version, Suicide Solution - Ozzy Osbourne - Legacy Of Randy Rhoads (Vinyl, I don't know if it sounds hugely different because I haven't heard the original but I really don't agree with what's been done here, I'll be more careful to read people's reviews in future before I order things.

As a Sabbath fan, I'm now trying to get into the Ozzy solo production. I don't want to join the debate about the original versus the remastered or re-recorded album as the original is, apparently, not available anymore. Just reviewing THIS album then: it sounds a bit more commercial than the late Sabbath, but still sounds great. Highlights to me are "Crazy train", "Mr Crowley" and "Revelation": I think the bonus tracks don't really add much to the original record, actually "Steal away" was a great way to finish the album.

I bought the original vinyl when it came out, and also went to see the Oz ay Hammersmith Odeon. As a callow youth it was great entertainment, but what I remembered was a song he played live that wasn't on the lp. Now much to surprise it's an extra track on the CD, allowing me to hear it again for the second time some 35 years later. I remembered the song pretty well, and though the version here is not as dynamic, it holds up quite well.

LP) fact the whole album does, despite my tastes changing a fair bit over the years. I guess a lot of these tracks Suicide solution being a standout are pretty iconic. Ozzy Osbourne released his debut solo album in and it has since went on to become an all-time classic album in the eyes of many. It contains a lot of great material and grows on you with each listen.

The album is one of only two studio albums with the late Randy Rhodes on board as the guitarist. Randy's guitar playing is the stuff of legends as I'm sure you've already heard if you like this kind of music. The album is strong in terms of songwriting, a masterpiece guitar-wise and Ozzy's excellent vocals have rarely sounded better. Overall, Blizzard Of Ozz is definitely a must have album for Ozzy fans.

This expanded edition of the album does not come with linear notes or a DVD, but thankfully does feature the original performance by the original musicians remastered to the highest quality.
